Biography Milica Petrovic was born on May 13, 1982 in Kragujevac, Serbia. She completed elementary school and Gymnasium in Kragujevac. Upon finishing Gymnasium, she continued her education at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade where she completed Master in ecology and environmental protection. She continued her education at the International Multidisciplinary Master, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture in cooperation with BOKU University, Vienna where she gained Master degree in Environmental protection in Agriculture. She is currently at the PhD studies in Plant ecology and nature protection at the Faculty of Agriculture, Dept. for Botany where is actively engaged in research of halophytic vegetation, sustainable management of halophytic grasslands, medicinal and aromatic plants of specific habitats and protection measures of natural ecosystems.
Milica Petrovic has significant practical experience in writing project proposals and project cycle management in the field of ecology and environmental protection. Also, she participated in various international and national training on projects proposal preparation as well as specialization in the national and international trainings/seminars in the field of nature protection. Milica is one of the organizers of research eco-camps for students in the Biosphere Reserve'' Golija-Studenica'' as well as national coordinator for the implementation of environmental education within the international Foundation for Environmental Education (www.fee-international.org).
Beside scientific, practical and field work in the mentioned research issues, Milica is actively engaged in mountain-climbing and photography.
